LT1 coolant temps revisited.....
I know this has been done before but here I am. Just replaced the waterpump(dealer) 190 on the highway and as high as 207 in town. Since I flushed it its been steady in the 190's prior to the waterpump, but I dont like runnin that hot. It will likely go back, I have a coolant smell. What do you run (digital ) around town??

Mine runs about 174 to 182 on the freeway, with the temp outside about 65 to 70 degrees. I have a 160 degree and a modified chip. On at 193 off at 183 degrees. The hottest I have seen it was in Az. last summer. Temp outside 115, water temp, 210 degrees in traffic, both fans on.

I run about the same as you ken.. I'm pretty sure my radiator could use a cleaning to get the leaves and crap out of it.
