Electrical Problems? Cutting out at stoplights.
I have an '88 with 16,000 miles on it, and recently (as in just this week) it's started doing this thing where if I am stopped at a light, it will just cut out. It starts right back up again.
Also, on occasion, the lights and the readout on the AC unit will flicker.
While driving the volts read 14.2/14.5, at a stoplight it reads 13.9.

I don't think the flickering is a problem and your voltages sound right.First thing I would look at would be the IAC valve.Also you might want to try and increase the minimum idle with the screw in the throttle body.If it's not been messed with before you will have to pull out the blocking plate to get at the adjuster.When the car is warm set the idle to 600 and see if that cures the problem.

sounds to me like the IAC is not working or is partially clogged up. Especially since nobody drives the thing. The flickering might be the impulse motor on the IAC trying to adjust the idle, and the motor is pushing against the crud on it's valve seat.
