Valvetrain upgrade (with pics)
well spent the past 2 days tearing at the engine and I'm almost at the point of putting the new cam in, the heads are about to be prepared to accept the new studs and the gaskets are en route.
working on removing the head bolts, found I needed the breaker bar to get the torque needed, no bolts snapped yet:
Here's the disgustingly old block, when I ripped the head off and saw this I wished I had 3000$ to buy new heads and pistons.
using spacers and washers to remove the pressed in rocker studs:
here's the radiator coming out(leaving all the leaves, I ripped them out) so I can fit the cam in:
and that's where I'm at now, still have to take the water pump out then pull the crankcase but oughtta have the new cam in by tonight
