Tunerpro RT is a great free program, you can download it free. I use Datamaster. Its about $125, but it is a great tool. Go to the CF scan and tune forum and read the info there. You can find out where to get a cable and how to make your own in the FAQ.

You will need a ODBI ALDL cable to connect to the Serial or USB port and some scanning software.
ALDLCable does give instructions of how to built a ALDL cable and also sells them for $59...
I have used WinALDL as scanning software. I bought my cable form MaStach.

I got my cable and adapter from moates.net ($80). A CD came with the combo to install the USB driver device. I use TunerPro RT which is free or you can pay $30 as more or less a donation to used the program. Takes a little learning once you start using the program, but it's great.
