Front Y-pipe for LT1 (1994)
What company makes a front y-pipe w/no cats for an LT1?
As of now i have PE cat back...
Do you think it would be worth ditching the cats? if anything just for the enjoyment of the sound :)
Any problems with running no cats? Besides the fact that it is illegal?

I would think you'll need some programming to adjust for the fuel and possibly will throw a code... I'm not aware of anyone that makes a direct bolt in non- cat pipe.

Re: Front Y-pipe for LT1 (HiRiser)
I think that a no cat front exhaust would be called "long tube headers". :)

Re: Front Y-pipe for LT1 (McKVette)
Here's how it works, around here anyway.
If you take it to any kind of exhaust shop and you have stock manifold with no cats, they won't touch it. Even if you removed the cats yourself they can't do anything, ANYTHING, that means even fabricate a y-pipe. Now, say you have headers they can do anything you want them to. They get around it because it is "an off-road application"
BTW, the only way your car will throw a code is if it has 4 O2 sensors. If it just has the two in front of the cats then you can take them off and the computer will never know the difference.
Personally I would recommend Hooker long tubes ;)

good luck passing inspection.
and your "guy" would be subject to a $10,000.00 fine if caught.
DMV could also fine you for tampering with emission control systems.
I would not advise it...
