We have done some tests on different Edelbrock TPI intake manifolds.
Out of the box they flow in the 24X cfm range. The Vortex version in the 23X cfm range.
Extrude Honed or opened up some and they will flow in the 26X cfm range.
I had one welded up some on top of the runners at the injector area. Opened up to 2.2CSA at the injector pinch area. Also arched the roof for better alignment to the head. Flowed in the 305 cfm range.
Friend did the same and opened up to 2.3CSA and it flowed in the 320cfm range.
My out of the box First Injection tpi intake manifold flowed 301cfm on port number 1. That is one of the worst flowing ports on the First out of the box. I have since worked on the ports but never had it reflowed.

so your saying the whole FIRST Intake system (for sale here http://www.firstfuelinjection.com/products.htm ) flows over 301
does FIRST take stock electronics? what else is involved in this kind of swap distributer clearance and issues like that? Emission legal?

No, that is the intake manifold alone. Does not include the runners or plenum. Still better than anything out there out of the box.
Smog legal? I guess that depends on the technician doing the smog and your state laws. It does have a place for the EGR. I believe it will accept all the stock electronics. You would have to call First to find out for sure.

Yes, it takes stock electrontics, you can use the stock distributor, but will need to grind it down some, and I comes w/ an EGR, so it is emission legal. Contact Ken at First, he can answer all your questions.
