Default C Beam Removal, 94 Automatic

Is there a trick to removing the C beam? The bolts are off, the drive shaft is removed, and the transmission is supported by a jack but the C beam cannot be moved enough to clear the transmission or the differential. I have tried raising and lowering both the transmission and differential to get enough movement, but just can't seem to get the C beam to clear the transmission, differential, or floor panel. Any and all help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Pry it forward, pry it back. The ebrake cable might need to be removed.
I've never had a problem. had mine (700R4, T5, and now ZF6) in and out numerous times.

It gets easier each time unfortunately

As mentioned - block of wood or a soft-faced dead-blow hammer and make it go back (towards the diff) until it clears the tailshaft. First time I did it, I removed one of the e-brake brackets (near the wheel). Last time, didn't have to, just work with the brake off (since the wheels are in the air anyway...

The only trick I remember was that it was mother F-er and took a long time for me to get it out the first time (tight as Sam Walton's wallet).

The forward/backward trick sounds familiar...

I too was hoping for a cure... I always have to pull it backwards and pop the c-beam over the tranny.
