Forget the fuse.
If it stopped workin', then worked again, there's somethin' else goin' on.
Look for a dirty contact at the switch. Ya' gotta' break down the console, and check for power comin' in to the switch, and check the ground wire too for continuity.

I live in Toroto, and learned early on in my 86 Coupe - if it gets cold(freezing or below!) and your outside mirrors get water/moisture inside them, the water can freeze and prevent the mirror-controls from working! If my car then can thaw inside my garage(un-heated but above freezing) for a day or two - the ice/water then thaws and dries out. Voila - mirrors are working A1 again! With a warm/heated garage, the fix should be even faster.
