I tried to follow the directions. FUEL INJECTED VEHICLE: POUR 1/3 INTO VACUUM OR PCV
ok, so i pop the vacuum off.. car stumbles.. i start pouring.. suddenly it VOMITS the seafom all over the place and dies.
How do I get it in there?
Also, it tells me to "flood" or "stall" the car once its in. How do I "flood/stall" an automatic fuel injected vehicle? Pull the maf?
Pull the fuel pump fuse, duh. It will then JUST suck in the seafoam, then try to start twice, or so. Until it WILL NOT START. Then, it'll have used all the seafoam as fuel, and voila. Put the fuel pump fuse back on, start it up and let it run for a minute or so, then kinda rev it a bit, in order to "blow it out". Take it to 2k, then 3k, then MAYBE 4k. I did that to the pickup a while back. Cleaned the motor pretty good.
P.S. - What vacuum line did you use. I would maybe use the one that connects to the brake booster. It would seem to inject the stuff into the engine the best.
P.S. - PCV = NO GOOD. Use the vacuum from brake line booster. I think anyway. That was the biggest vacuum port on my 85's intake at least. I know putting them into the valve covers will do nothing, because it will just get on the rocker arms. The point is to get them into the combustion chambers, to stick to all the crud, then blow it out.
I used the spray can of GM TEC - about the same as Seafoam. Held about 1200 rpm and sprayed it in the throttle body then shut off for a few hours. Then drive hard to blow the crap out. Worked good.
Smash, whats up man? I was down in the Heights tonight checking out cd players. I couldn't get one because I have a Bose system, so I just got a RF Changer up at Audio Express.

Do you need to change the plugs after using the cleaner? I know that the Berryman's B12 Chemtool cleaner fouls plugs - cleans the carbon out great, but requires a plug change afterwards. ;) ~Juliet
It seems that you would want to do this prior to changing plugs.
**Warning: your O2 sensors and/or spark plugs may get moderately dirtier if this is the first time you've cleaned your intake manifold and/or throttle body. You may wish to do this for the first time right before you install new ones.
