Anyone know where to find the weak springs used with an adjustable pushrod when you are finding the right length pushrod?

I don't believe you need weak springs for this. I just measured mine with my aftermarket springs on.
Edit: Here's a good article on doing this, I also used their "Hi Tech" brand adjustable pushrod.

I need them to keep the lifter from compressing while i rotate the engine to check the pattern.

Use a solid lifter. As far as a spring goes, have you scrounged around in a hardware store/home center?

RACE ON!!!

A solid lifter is an option as long as it is the same height as the Hyd one. I haven't tried the hardware store route.
