Default tempature sensor disconnected

I just rescently bought a 1990 L-98 with a zf6, its a very nice car with a few minor issues. One is i noticed that the tempature sensor is disonnected but it is there (to plug the hole i guess). the problem is i can not find the connector to hook it back up, what kind of issues will can it cause to drive around with it dissconnected?

If it's the one on the pass side head, you will not be able to read the engine temp from the gauge on the dash. If it is the one on the front of the intake, the car will have big problems, as the CTS acts like the choke on a carb.

Like CFI-EFI asked, which one?

If its the one in front of the motor the car PCM will default to a neg deg F* number and will run pig rich. This will lead to a whole other series of issues such as clogged cats, poor fuel economy etc.

All of the above, plus, if it is the one in the left head, the head is from a different location and the sensor is just standing in for the plug, the original head had.

RACE ON!!!

Sounds like somebody relocated the MAT sensor, but didn't extend the harness.

Is the original MAT sensor still in the plenum? Is it connected?

haha yea sorry about that last post typed it in a bit of a hurry. The car has a K&N intake on it and the hole for the temp sensor is on the left side i never thought to look on the other side of the car for the harness.
