I was also wondering, in regard to the relays for the cooling fans, about the 2 relays bolted to the side of the radiator. I replaced the relay on the right and got the driver's side fan to work. I assume that the relay on the left would work with the passenger side cooling fan. Does anybody know?
It does but the two fans work independently of each other. I can't recall the exact numbers but the driver's side fan comes on at 226 degree and off at 221 and the other fan turns on at 235 degrees and off at 226.
Also, all this changes if you have auto-climate control. When on, the driver's side fan seems to always stay on no matter is A/C or heat. The driver's side fan definitely works a lot harder than the second one does thus why you are replacing the relay.
I fixed my driver's side fan by changing the relay. I am not sure if my passenger side fan is working or not. Any idea on how to get the passenger side fan to come on. And, if it does not work, what components might be to blame. For example, on the primary fan, I believe there are only 3 components: temperature sensor, relay, and the fan motor. What about the secondary fan?
