I've just started experiencing what seem to be all the problems of a defective FPR: hard starting (have to depress the gas pedal all the way and sometimes crank 2-3 times), rough idle and one (and thankfully only one!) intake manifold misfire.
I checked the FPR vacuum hose as suggested in the Forum and there was no gas in it but by chance on reinstalling jiggled the FPR nipple and drops of gas came out. I assume this means the diaphragm is broken and I should replace the FPR but wanted to check with others to confirm before doing so.
My local O'Reilly's Auto Parts has a BWD @$44.99 (non-adjustable; the adjustable BWD is $91.99.
