Default Noob here with a rough idle problem.

I just bought my first 'vette this week, a 94 LT1 coupe.

It has been occasionally running rough at idle, but pushing the gas smooths it out.

Today I drove it to work, and when I got in it to go home, it was running VERY rough on startup. It ended up dying on me very quickly, then it wouldn't start again. It turns over very strong, but won't fire.

Opti and water pump were replaced about 6 months ago, as well as fuel rails and 5 injectors.

I didn't know what else to do, don't have a FSM yet, so I had it towed to a stealership (I know, I know - I just didn't have time at that second to do anything else). I guess they will start looking at it tomorrow.

Any ideas on what may be wrong?

My best guess is a dying/dead fuel pump. Some diagnostic checks would need to be done to verify.

Just ask them to diagnose it. If it turns out to be the fuel pump, it's a 30 minute fix once you have the pump in hand.

It sounds like fuel delivery, fuel pump, sender, etc.

As most members would say, if you did a search you would already have your answers, just remember that the search feature is a great tool on the forums.

I would start with cleaning the TB and IAC valve, I would also pull the spark plugs and see if theres anything they could tell me. theres several things it could be, but this would be a good place to start.
