make sure your water temps are ok.. you might have a buble in the cooling system that is causing the fan to come on! if the water temps are fine it an electrical glitch ,, but this woulnt cause the c/e light to come on

changing a thermostat shouldnt cause the light or the fan operation to change did you possibly leave the ECT sensor wire or some other wire disconnected what code has been set trouble shoot that code and fix the cause
