Default Intake manifold

Hello,

Been doing some searching on the forums and the web. didnt find any thing.

Who else besides edelbrock makes an itnake mainfold for the lt1,

if they are the only ones,, would it be better to port my stock one or just buy the edelbrock?

thank you

Spend your money on something else, your intake is fine. Heads and cam are holding back performance. Unless of course you have already done that and are keeping it a secret.

The intake as previously mentioned isnt really an issue. Most of your HP gains will be made in heads/cam/exhaust and a few boltons. There are many many opinions on cams, heads and various combos. I'd suggest the search feature, read alot. Then read and research some more if you're not familiar with the LT1/4 engines. Then set a goal, set a budget and go from there. Hiny, many members have opinions on heads/cams/ combos but still drive a close to stock car. Others are less vocal with their opinions but drive 11 second cars or faster. Guess who I'd listen to?

BTW, where are you stationed? I'm a 3po71, previously a 3e271.

And on top of what's already mentioned......there is no hard data avaliable to support the notion that the Edlebrock intake is a superior product (let alone being $400 superior) to the stock intake.

well for now the car is all stock,, ill have it in a few weeks,, the plan for the car is heads, cam, and a 383 stroker, lt headers, no cats, and some highflow mufflers and most likely and x pipe

so the verdict is, ill just port the intake manifold. it'll get gone done for free. so it should all work out,

thanks
