Default Guys I need help quick w rough running 88

I am supposed to go to the tru blue dyno tommorow am withe the fourum guys. Got gas today shortly thereafter car starts running rough won't idle, idles very rough etc. I suspect the gas but dont know. there is a new high velocity sucking sound at the breather at idle, very strange, the car seems to run almost ok under acceleration. Please any thoughts? I am going to drain the gas and go fill up w amaco 93.
Thanks
Harold

By breather, do you mean air filter? If that is the case, it would be your IAC valve opening up too much and that is the sucking sound you hear. -Matt-

Thanks I beleive you are right the iac is opening to compensate for the low idle, trying to increase rpms. i siphoned out what i could but still had 3/16 tank. Went to get fresh gas changed my mind will head for true blue and run the gas down as far as i can then fill up. Made a few wot runs and runs pretty good at wot.

Yep, exactly what I was thinking. As long as you still have a good idle vacuum, which is around 16-18 inHg, this *should* not cause a problem. I ran into a wide open IAC valve that dropped my vacuum down to five inHg, and that was a bad month...Good luck tomorrow! -Matt-
