Can someone tell me the stall on my stock 700R transmission, and is it a lockup type? and what does that mean anyway?

Your torque converter is rated at 2024rpm and it is lockup TC. (which the highest locking TC GM makes for the Corvette 700R4). A lock up torque Converter has clutch to lock up the TC so it doesn't slip. The help gas mileage. In drag racing application you can lock up the TC, but the Stock Torque Converter Clutch will wear out much more quickly (there are aftermarket solution for this)

I think you may be off on the stall speed.
It depends on trans code. Most shipped with a 1497 RPM stall ( I think that was the number ) and GM reserved the 2024 for the V6 Y body and 4 cylinder beaters.

if you drive it enough at low speeds then youll be able to feel the lockup sometimes, but it has to be between 1500-2000 rpm.

I put the 84 - 86 converter in my 89 and it stalls between 2600 - 2700 rpm.
I guess it depends on your mods.
I gained 4 tenths in the 1/4 mile putting in this converter! It was well worth the $180.00
