Default Help me identify this plug

Hey everyone, I need some help identifying these two plugs. This is on my 85 TPI and I have them circled and they come out of the harness with the TPS. What do they plug into and how serious is it to not have them plugged in? Also, is there an injector ground wire coming out of the harness near the thermostat housing on an 85? This picture is taken from a parts car 86 that I had on my computer, and I used it because it shows the plugs in question. Thanks in advance-

These plugs are for the air management system and goes to the diveter valve solenoid and switching valve. Not sure if that helps with description only.

I will try and bring home the camera tomorrow and take a picture for you. Both of these items appear to be missing from your picture.

Man, that picture is just what I needed! Thanks a bunch! I think I'm missing that valve that sits above the water pump. Does the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose connect to that valve or the one that mounts onto the side of the a/c bracket?

Neither. Fuel pressure regulator connects to a port on the lower right rear corner of plenum with a very short hose.

True, but that connector going from the plenum to the fuel pressure regulator is mated and then runs towards those two valves in question. My vacuum diagram under the hood shows this but doesn't specifically tell me where it ends up. In the pic I can see that he has the hard vacuum line running to the valve nearest the water pump.

That extra line going to the front is for the air diverter valve you no longer have. You need to eliminate it and replace the joint with a 2 way instead of a 3 way. You don't need it. I can provide you pics if needed.

Here is a picture of the line running from the FPR (in my case AFPR) as it runs to the front of the engine. This line "Y's" at the rear and this plugs into the plenum.

The line "T's" at the front and goes to the diverter and the switching valves as shown in this picture:

I just want you to know that I am tearing down the top end of the car..JUST TO SHOW YOU THESE PICTURES....

Okay, I am tearing it down to replace a blown head gasket. Just taking my time pulling it apart and labeling everything. You can see the open runners from the SuperRam in the first picture with what is left of the gaskets. I didn't want a vacuum leak so I used silicone.

SINCE you live in CALIFORNIA and have to smog your car, you will need the diverter and switching valves. You might be able to pass the sniffer without them....but the A** H**L who is inspecting the car may fail you for not having them!

Highlighting the point in question with the white paper is a great technique! I shall steal that for my bag of tricks. Thanks!
