Door sill/front speaker removal
Hey, all!
I'm working on my 1990 coupe, trying to remove the front speakers. I'm having a problem getting to the front speakers. It looks like I have to take the carpeted door sill off to get to the speaker. I couldn't find anything on the speaker cover that allows it to come off. I have the door sill loosened on the rear part, but when I get to the speaker area, it doesn't want to move. Are there any screws/clips on the inside of the sill/speaker cover that are hard to find? How do I get to the speakers?
thanks,
chris

Re: Door sill/front speaker removal (90qzrblu)
I'm assuming that your 90 is the same as my 95.
After you remove the screws from the door side of the sill plate & the rear trim plate there is a velcro strip holding the bottom of the speaker cover. The sill plate is removed by raising the rear of the plate. When re-installing you have to put the front tip of the plate under the door jamb weatherstrip first & then slip it around the parking brake.
Hope this helps
