'87 4+3, how much fluid goes in it?
how much fluid goes in it with an external filter (ford focus oil filter)?
how much fluid goes in it if using the '87 Z51 steering cooler as a trans cooler for it AND the external ford filter???
Anybody hazard a guess?

The OD unit takes about 2 quarts. Hard to say what amount of fluid will be needed for the "mods". I would think a Focus oil filter would hold around a pint. Maybe fill one up and see?
Because there is no dipstick, you just have to keep adding fluid through the fill hole until it runs out. With the rear wheels off the ground, spin a rear tire by hand for a few minutes; that will run the OD pump and allow fluid to circulate thru the lines.
