Default 85 chip

I just built a 383 with alum heads for my 85 and need a chip burnt. Any ideas where to start or who to use would be great help.

i know it's a month after the fact. ed wright is a waste of money. i've also tried to use a local shop, the car ran well but way too rich. now i've purchased the chip burner and software to tune it myself. i'd suggest you start there

I agree. You'll learn more that way about your car and the satisfaction is worth it. I should know!

Where are you located? It would help to fill out the rest of the profile. The best man for the 85 is Tom Wong in Vancouver Washington. Most of the custom chip makers are all concentrating on the newer generations. The 85 is kind of a stand along freak use the 870 chip. Gm changed the chip in 86, so finding someone to do the 870 chip is difficult.

You can try the above suggestion to burn you own. I don't feel too comfortable doing this myself. It takes experience to get the from your tune and knowing what to change and the limits.
