C4 Tech/Performance L98 Corvette and LT1 Corvette Technical Info, Internal Engine, External Engine

Default Help me identify...

...2 sensors on my 85. They are both on the heads by the exhaust ports, one on the driver side near cyl#1, the other on the passenger side by cyl#8 IIRC. I would guess they are knock, coolant temp, or something.

There is also one on the passenger side of the block I think, looks like a nipple style connector. I did a quick flip thru the FSM and didn't find them quickly.

I am specifically wondering if they should be replaced before I put my hookers in my car

That is the IP temperature gauge sending unit in the left head. In the right head is the auxiliary fan switch. On the right side of the block just above the oil pan rail, you have the knock sensor installed in the block water jacket drain hole.

The one on the passenger side (right head?) the plastic connector fell apart, and I assume the plastic harness on the sensor fell apart also, there's just a metal prong sticking out of it.

The other one was bent and cracked putting hookers in. They were all working fine afaik.

Thanks! you are way faster than flipping thru the FSM!
