Valve tick or injector tick
I used the factory manual method of adjusting the valves (adjust to zero lash then one turn, all while using the timing marks blah blah...). I got it all back together, fired it up and it ran right away with no miss or anything.
I do notice a bit of a tick though. Its about the same tick that I had before I had it apart. It almost seems like its the injector's ticking and not a valve noise. You can't hear it with the hood down in the car, very faintly when your outside the car with the hood down, and clear when the hood is up (to judge how loud it is).
When placing a finger on some of the injectors you can almost "feel" the tick leading me to believe it is them ticking and not a very slightly loose valve.
If I do check the valves again, should I start from scratch with the procedure or just give the adjuster nut small turn (1/8").
Just want some opinions...
P.S. It was nice to take it out for the first time this year though!

BTW: It drives me nuts and every once in awhile I think I have valvetrain issues. I know I dont have issues but its annoying to hear ticking under the hood.
Good Luck!

I use this trick all the time. When you get to the source of the tick you will be able to tell. IMO the screwdriver works better than wood , but I'm sure that depends on how good your hearing is

You can also get digital volt meters very cheap these days. Buy one and learn how to check your cars components. Taking meter readings is about one of the easiest things you can do on a car and they can tell you a lot. Its not really hard to do.
When you get a meter I'm sure someone here will give you tips on using it.
