Default Horns Stopped Working

The horns on my '96 stopped working. There is power to one side of the connector and the ground looks good. Any ideas? Thanks.

Ideas?
Time for a new horn
Power + ground= HONK

Just bustin your chops.....If you want to be sure grab a length of wire and jump the horn straight from the battery.
Better to verify than to start replacing parts.

FYI: if your horn is not bad you might want to check the relay. On my 87 it is located behind the center dash, left side, and is a little blue box with three connections. Yours might be in a different spot.

I think mine is behind the passenger dash. I hear a click but no horn. I do appear to have power at the horn. I thought it was a little strange that neither one would work.

Default Horns

My '95 horns were weak and one of them rarely ever sounded. The grounds looked OK but cleaning the grounds improved performance greatly. GM no longer recommends the star washers 'because of corrosion problems' - so a thread here said a few years ago. I have to clean them up about once a year.
Good luck

I had to get the clock spring in the steering wheel replaced to make my horn work. Cost me $300.
