Thanks Jeff. I sent them an email with a couple questions on things like breather holes and oil fill openings and bracket issues. We'll see what they send back. The covers look like puke, but if it is functional I can deal with them.
The only problem I have with this "system" so far is that it comes with the girdle bar and the valve covers for $300, then you have to buy the longer polylocks for the rocker arms. That is another $115. I may just wait on the stud girdle until I can get some break in miles on the motor. I am looking at swapping heads in May as well, so I am not sure this girdle would work with the heads I am looking at. Hate to throw away $400.
Thinking again about the AFR 227's plus porting them (clean them up) a bit myself. Not sure I can get enough out of these stock casting LT1 heads. Actually, is there ever enough. ;) Quite a few guys like the 227's over on the Camaro board. Kind of a toss up as to put more money into these heads that I don't know will ever really be enough, or start from scratch again with some good castings. Too bad Brodix does not make a Track 1 head for the LT1. If I went with the AFR 220 or 227's I would have to have them milled to match compression with my current heads.
