Hello Vette Society,
It was a while since i last time wrote something.
I am that guy from Kazhakstan, if someone remebers my thread as newby from Kazakhstan.
Again, I have a problem, this time engine. I can not describe how it was working but, it did sound like one or two cylinders was not working.
I took car to engine specilalists and when they opened the engine it turned out that:
1. one push rod was broken
2. one bolt
3. two hydro componsators
4. two rollres better be replaced.
I am not sure if I am naming parts correct, but here is the picture of parts I need, could you guys tell where can I buy them and ship to Kazakhstan? And tell me these parts names?
Thanks
Batyr
You got the pushrod name correct, the bolt is called a rocker arm stud, the hydro-compensators are called roller hydraulic lifters. The "rollers" you show look like the idler pulley for the belt and the pulley from the belt tensioner. I don't think the pulley from the tensioner is available separately, you will need to buy the complete tensioner.
You will need to provide the year of the engine because the parts in question changed several times during LT1 production.
I suggest you try forum vendors GM Parts Direct, GM Parts House, or Fred Beans for availability, prices and shipping information, their websites are listed on the left margin, best of luck getting what you need.

Actually you can replace the tensioner pulley and it is the same pulley as the idler. I only know this because I had to do it last week.
Boy, I guess the world is getting smaller. Must be a real pain chasing parts that start out 6000 miles away.
You right,
But, world has internet, the only thing I dont like is to pay hundreds of dollars for fast shipping or wait for months for parts to get here.

Thank you Toptech6,
Its realy helpful, I am gald that CF exists, and I get assistance from you guys
I found these parts at GM Parts, but couldnt identify their names and now I can order them.
One more question, do you know if Suburban has the same engine, because friend of mine has few dissassembled Suburban engines and I thinking of taking these parts from donor engines?
Maybe some LT guys could pay forward a few things to this guy to get him going again?
Just a thought.
I don't have any of the parts he needs but I do have a friend in Germany (vettef6) I will ask him. That might minimize the shipping expense if he has the parts.

Jim, all I can find is a set of Speed Pro lifters. They have run about 3K miles and are as good as new.
Thanks Arnold, hopefully the OP will respond, a complete set of lifters may cost less to buy from you than just two originals shipped from the states as you well know!

Jim, Arnold,
Thank you for helping me.
I sent several emails to different vendors and I'll wait for their response. I know that there is a corvette parts source available in Holland, will contact them as well. Arnold, here is the address, can be one more place for you to get parts: iwww.corvetteparts.nl

Thanks for the address, I get all of my parts from the US, mostly through friends like Jim (toptechx6).
Good luck
Arnold
Hello Jim,
Still waiting for donor engine to get parts, but I am not sure if I will get what I need becasue the engine is from Chevy Suburban. I sent several emails to different vednors, but no reply. I think good source is Corvette Salvage, I can get used parts for cheap from them, but no feedback yet. Can you advsie me any other parts source for these parts?
Thanks
Batyrkhan
I have bought various parts from Corvette Salvage. Good place to buy, but they don't like to ship outside of USA.
Try to get your parts from Germany. Quite a few Vendors here that sell GM or Vette parts. Here is the most popular Vette forum in Germany: http://www.corvetteforum.de/jgs_port...ion=index&sid=
You will see on the left side "Corvetteteile" with 12 links to vendors that sell the parts you need and more.

As always I am willing to help a Corvette brother, but as Arnold mentioned there are few places here willing to ship outside the country. Let me know if his sources in Europe fail you and I will try to assist.
I do not have a parts crossover list so I cannot tell you if the Suburban parts will work but I doubt it. As far as I know LT1's only came in Vettes, F-body (Camaro/Firebird) and Impala models. Again my wishes for luck.

Web sites Arnold advised me on German langauge, and anyway they purchase all parts from US I think it will be better to try get them from US directly. I contacted one of the bigggest used parts source Corvettesalvage.com , but still did not gaet any answer. I am asking your help to assist me with fiding these parts. Used ones is ok for me because I don't need new sets of bolts or pushrods. Thanks again. Batyrkhan
Batyr, I have some used lifters and pushrods you can have if the shipping doesn't break my bank account. If you are interested, how many of each do you need? I don't have any rocker stud bolts. But, maybe another forum member will have a couple of used ones they can send me so I can get your Corvette Care Package together.
