The request is incompatible. Cam change requires a new tune.

althought it CAN run on a mild cam, still needs a tune. I would upgrade the rest of the drivetrain while you're at it.

Change of cam means a change in tune. Simple as that. It won't run right or as well as it should otherwise -- if at all.

New tune=custom chip, and custom is the only way to go.

Click my name, then read through my website, it will have some suggestions.

Nice to see someone else from Sparkle City.

figure out how much HP you want to make or how fast you want the car to 1/4 mile. tell us that and we can give you much better feedback. a few years ago i helped a guy take a stock L98 to 13.2@107mph with nothing but bolt ons, no heads & cam work or aftermarket intakes.

Hang around for a while or search the tech forum.

There are quite a few that have strong drivers on here and can recommend combos that work well. The guys are right though, if you want a strong driver you will have to bolt it all together and find a shop that can tune it correctly to get the most out of the $$$ that you spent on parts.

Sure, the 13.2@107mph on regular 275 40 17 tires combo goes like this. port the area behind the throttle body on the plenum, port match the runners to the plenum and base. sand blast all the crud out of the plenum and runners. you would be amaized how much EGR crud builds up. on the base you will want to do some porting with cartrage rolls with your goal being a slight enlargement of the runner but mostly smoothing the walls and reducing the turn angle by smoothing the turns. buy a k&n or tpis air filter, cut the lid, do the coolant bypass on the TB. get a 160deg thermostat and have someone lower your fans to come on at 190deg. {if you live in a cold climate this might not be needed} buy some 1.5 roller rockers and replace the guideplates with real ones. comp cams has guide plates and hardened pushrods that drop right in very cheap. rods were 35 bucks and plates were 25. with the rockers off it's a very quick swap. on the exhaust side of things you want to buy some nice long tube headers and a dual exhuast. take your pick on what brand of exhaust you want. the HP difference between a corsa and borla is minimal, it's all on sound prefrence. tire wise, i really like the falken rt-615 for daily driver tires, very sticky, not super scary in rain but not a rain tire by any means and they last a good 15k miles.
