Auto Trany Rebuild

I am contemplating rebuilding 700-R4 trany my self. How difficult is it to do? What special tools will I need? What rebuild upgrade should is best.

It took about 3 weeks, but I was doing it along with my daily job,
so I had only about 2 hours a day.
