So after having new wheels put on(95 LT1), balanced, and a new alignment, I got on the expressway today and at about 65, the front end gets the shakes. At some point pretty bad. I am thinking about walking into firestone and demanding they check it again, as it hasn't been even 30 miles since I got the alignment (even though it was a month and a half ago)
Any ideas on what else it might be? Never used to drive like this...

If everything is tight, it's possible the belts shifted in the tire. I've had tires go bad that way.
Damn. Well I just figured if it's worse off now, and wasn't bad to begin with, ...... I was thinking maybe someone didn't do something correctly. But maybe your right. I just don't want to think my 2 front tires are bad, or one...they are like brand new!

Well, you can hit a big pot hole and knock the belts out of wack.
I've had it more than once.
Please, don't spend a lot of money on my advice as I have not seen the car.
All I can tell you is that this was my problem. I had the car aligned, tires balanced, etc... and it was the tires. Threadwear has nothing to do with it.
GO BACK THEY ARE OUT OF Balance ,trust me it took me 3 visits before they said oops our machine must be out of calabration. Of course it could have been the dope running the machine also.

Try one more balance at a different place too. Make sure they know how to use the dam machines. I took a tire to one place and they tried to tell me my rim was bent. I went somewhere else and they balanced it perfectly.
Just got back from Discount Tire, and had them use their Roadmaster Balancer. The passenger side was a little out of balance, the driver side was seriously messed. They had to remount the wheel and then rebalance that.
I originally had them balanced at Sears. Screw Sears! After I left Discount I got up to 55 and no problems!
Just will have to test it and get back up to 65 on the expressway on the way home. That will be the test!

DId they spin the tire on the rim, sometimes you have to do that.

ABSOLUTELY!! Firsetone stores are supposed to be using the roadforce balancers, which require a trained operator. Plus, they should redo it for free, same for the alignment. If you have any problem with them PM me, I have a contact at their HDQ and will try to help.
ps--A tire with any broken belts will show up on a roadforce balancer, so that is unlikely.
I had a shake problem on an 89. Took the car in and a tire pressure warning unit had broken and caused a severe problem in the tire. It also keeps shifting around so rebalancing would not solve the problem

This was clearly a balance problem. Alignment rarely causes front end shake and usually only with loose or damaged parts. You could have thrown weights or the tire could have slipped on a rim (rare). It's not always the techs fault.
Well either way, it's a hell of a lot better now. It was shimming pretty good just over 60. Now it barely does at all. A vast improvement. Just scared the crap out of me the first time. Something must of happened.
They did have to remount/turn the driver's side front wheel btw. Took 2 times to get it balanced. I feel a lot better now!

If they had to shift the tire on the wheel twice you have a really bad heavy spot on that tire. You should replace the tire or move it to the rear. If it was balanced off the car you can switch front to rear if your tires/wheels are the same size.
I have different sizes in the front and back. I wish. Oh well, I don't want to get rid of these wheels yet, as they have a lot of tread on them and are like new!
