Default why so rich?
whatv would cause my '86 to run so rich? When I got on the gas she would black smoke like a you know what. Needless to say I've got her apart for the second time, (burn a case of oil in one week) what can i do to prevent this rich condition this time around, thanks

If you've got an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, some gremlin has put waay to many turns on that puppy. Could be anything, but the fuel pressure is what I'd check first. Even a bad 02 sensor won't cause it to run that rich. Check it out and let us know!

check each injector resistance, bad pres regulator...

Don't run too long with a rich condition as I think it might "washdown" the cyliinders and internals diluting the oil.

Plus it will also 'kill' your O2 sensor.
