Default popping noise

i am hearing a popping sound when starting to accelerate at low speed
seems the same going strait or turning seems to be coming from the rear drivers side ?

it made the noise when i bought the car last summer and seems to be getting worse i have put about 4K miles on the car since i got it and still isn't bad enough for me to not drive it.

does this sound like differential or u joints, or maybe the half shafts?

any help with this annoying issue would be great
By the way the car is a 95 LT-1 with ZF S6-40

Had the same problem. Mine was like a popping clicking sound. I really noticed it from a dead start. For me it was the rear left half shaft u-joints.

Sounds like a u-joint, Did it squeak at low speeds at first? If yes its a u-joint.
