First pass was great. Ran a 14.098

After that the car started running like sh*t. It actually ran better with the MAF sensor unplugged (but never a 14.098). Check engine light was coming on , then going off sometimes...

Seems like the car was shutting down my acceleration past 4000 rpms...

Part of the acceleration thing is probably just the TPI intake.

If that MAF sensor is bad grab a reman at Autozone asap, make sure to replace the maf burnoff relay at the same time .

Mine had done that intermittently,(98% of time time it was fine) displayed no codes. By the time I figured it out it was too late, MAF made it run SUPER lean and ate up a head gasket over time .When it acted up at higher rpm it "bogged", kind lof like dragging the brakes. This was over a good period of time, wouldnt sweat it if I were you. not saying this will happen to you, just dont let it go.

Pull your codes and see that they say as a starting point.

100,000 miles

It wasn't the tpi cutting out. It almost felt like an over ride from the comp trying to shut me down..

Yes, kinda bogging feeling. The bummer is, I replaced the MAF sensor from autozone about a year ago. I keep reading about checking the relay ( from searches) , I'll replace that for sure and check the codes ASAP. Appreciate the help...!

With bad MAF
Check out the A/F ratio
That thing shouldnt even be running. Come to think of it, it almost wasnt.

Changing the MAF, burnoff relay- no other changes at all

Is your car an automatic? What were your trap speeds?

I'm assuming you're asking about the fuel filter, I've never changed it.:o

Appreciate everyone suggestions, I'll be checking it out tomorrow.

Drove the car to work today and noticed the low coolant light is on, too.
