Why isn't this a stickie?? I have a bad feeling that I will be calling an attorney and the cops Monday.

Most of those threads sound exactly what I'm going through. I (total dumb ***) shipped them my perfectly running D44 3.07 the first week of March so they could rebuild it (posi and all) with a 3.45. It was supposed to be a 3-4 day turn and right back.

First the excuse was my case was bad so they charged me for a new one and it would be a couple more days. Next was it's on the way. Last week they gave me a tracking # that was no good. This week he told me it was shipped and that it was in Wilmington. Ohio. (DHL's base)

He stopped returning my calls and DHL says that there wasn't any packages shipped from the Florida zip to my Zip....

The worst part is I'm racing in 6 days. Does anyone have a rear close to Ohio for a fair price?? Rental??

Any ideas on how to proceed? I saw the other thread about contacting the AG but what other options are there??

BTW, thanks for the link Spanky.

Default vettepartsonline strikes again

I did not do my normal research and am being burned by Carl Shuhi and Company. He sounds very knowledgeable and always has an answer if you can get a hold of him.
I shipped spindles and bearing boxes to them to be reassembled with new trailing arms, bearings, emergency brake parts, etc. It's been 6 weeks, my credit card was charged 5 weeks ago, and still no parts. I have been told so many stories. Most of the time, no one answers the phone. Email goes unanswered.
For more info, do a search for vettepartson line and Carl Shuhi. I was amazed at the other stories and court cases.

i had this happen with a clothing net vendor only to find out they were listed at ripoffreport.com when i was doing my research i found that you never want to pay with a debit card, always want to use credit and need to get ahold of your bank pronto and file a fraud claim. if enough people file fraud claims {and i think it's only 3} then the vendor has their credit card processing privlidges pulled and i can't remember all what else. anyway, this site was very helpful when i went through similar http://www.ripoffreport.com/

Default vettepartsonline update 1

I finally received both trailing arm assemblies. They were shipped several days apart and I was sent a DHL tracking number for the first unit but not the second. The boxes were in terrible shape but so far I have found no damage with the assemblies, just peanuts lodged in every crevice.

Now I am trying to get the invoice straightened out to match what was ordered and shipped.

sorry I had to bring up an old thread,
Damn I bought a re-co 3.07 pumpkin thru Ebay couple of years ago.
Highline or similar was their user name.Anyway I questioned them as they were only a new seller,it was there first listing, got all the right answers, price was right,The response I got was" I work for a company and rebuild a couple of diff's as a side line myself to sell. Come's with a alleged 3yr worldwide guarantee and support, regardless how you use it(impressive)from guess who vettepartsonline.(guarentee was a written paragraph thru an Ebay message.
Most of my dealings were direct thru a person called 'Caroline'she talked the talk well so I trusted her.(although I was starting to have a bad feeling about the deal.
It came after nearly 4 weeks, well boxed good, plastic wrapped still good,
As I was not going to install it straight away, I opened some of the plastic to view the internal's all appeared ok ,pumpkin painted black which I thought a bit strange, but didnt raise suspicion so re wrapped it.
My first big mistake!!!!
(sady only found out yesterday, pulled it out of storage, fitted side axles, drain plug and found out the whole casing had been broken and cracked..poorly rewelded at best where the C Beam bolts onto.:mad
Mad at them and mad at myself for not checking it all over when I received it as I should have...I will fit it and see what happens, been waiting a long time to get every thing together for the vette rebuild and this happens.
Damn you trust folks to be up front, but not all play by the same rules.
Anyway my bitching to you guys makes me feel a bit better anyway, as the saying goes"what goes around, comes around"their time will come!!.
Just beware guys they do list and sell thru Ebay!!

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I did a lot of research on the guy and I honestly think he has a personality disorder.

Here's an interesting "blog" from someone that claims to be Carl Shuhi....

You're asking for trouble using a questionable unit like that. Consider what might happen if the weld breaks and the beam drops down. That could get mighty expensive.

If it was me I'd be looking for another case. Transfer the new parts over and have it set up by someone reputable.
