speedo problems
I have a 1987 vette and the question I have for anyone on the forum is this: By changing my gears from 2.73s to 3.54s, will it cause a performance problem for the way the car performs if I don`t correct the speedo? If so please help with any info. you may have. I was told that it might have some affect on it.

You can get the proper speedo gears and sensor from GM. I got mine from 18carfan for about $28.00. Its simple to install when you have the drive shaft out, so I suggest you get the parts and swap them when you do the diff. gears. Good luck

Thanks for the info. guys. But how do I know which speedo gears to ask for?I think I am about 20 mph off. I had a friend to drive next to me in his car and it show that he was sixty and I was running 80 mph. could I be off that much. everything on his vette. is stock. He has an 89 and my vette is an 87 and both have 17 inch wheels.
