I found and used them after being bent over by Autofab Racecars (cracked power brake booster, blown A/C Mod, blown ABS Mod many other minor F ups, outragous pricing).
If you choose to use them I can help with a ride for you back to No VA as I wouk in the area.
Well I called today and here is what they said. First I will need a 6 point bar to be (NHRA legal). The bar would run $750.00 and add $150.00 to each side for swing outs or removeable pieces (down by the seats). The problem is he says the deck lid will have to be notched to clear the back supports. He said they have to run at a 30degree angle and start no lower then 5 inches below the top of the loop. I hope I have all of this info straight. At any rate I believe Im going to hold off. I just dont believe I want to butcher the car up that much. Also I called TPIS and they no longer sell bars. Recemnend Doug Rippie. However all of the sights I have checked dont seem to have any that are NHRA legal. Any additional input from anyone would be appreciated.
guys I built a galvanized steel roll bar using 2 inch pipe from lowes (also known as home depot) they have pipes in different sizes with a screw fitting on the ends , you take 45 degree angles. you get the mounting flange it screwes in to a few mods with a drill and then cover it with the foam pipe cover and you have a great roll bar for 50 bucks. you have a 8 inch pipe on ends going up 2 ,,, 45 angles with insert to connect 36 inches acroos top repeat the angles and 8 inch bottom. Then put the 8 inch in the floor mounts and mount into the bolts . these bolts hold the kit that holds your roof in place when you take it off. it worked so well I am now adding the 4 points when im done ill post pics. It only takes a little ingenuity. i could not believe how easy it was...

Sorry guy but you did this roll bar. I guess you have no value on your life. IF your car go fast enough to need a roll bar than why not put the best/legal one in you can find. Guys spent 1000s on mods to go fast then bitch about paying for a bar.
You people make no sence to me.
And yes I SPENT $1100. for a NHRA legal roll bar, $160. for a 5 point harness and $100. for a fire jacket and I can race anywhere.

Hey John,
I agree with the safety being very important. In my case its not that I believe the $1050. is to much, its that for the occasional drag racing that I do, I dont want to butcher the car up that much. The deck lid is within 2 to 3 inches of the back seat, so for them to make the back braces to go at a 30 degree angle 5 inches from the top of the loop, will cause me to have a pretty long slot cut in the deck lid. Also I wonder if there will still be room for the convertable top to fold down etc. In my case I believe I am going to try and find a hardtop for the car. It was also suggested that I find a track that is not NHRA santioned. Well I live in Manassas Va. approximately 30 miles outside of Washington DC and the 3, QTR. mile tracks that I have been to are Cecil County, MIR, and 75-80. All of these are NHRA I believe. If anyone knows of any in my area that are not NHRA I would like to know about them. Thanks for everyones input.
Hey I built this roll bar with very hard steel it is only to help with body roll and firmness. I only run touring at the tracks. If I were to race hard I would have it checked. This mounts a camera and fire extinguisher with no problems and is very strong. when i move up in a class and have to gut my vette for specs
I wont be racing this vette....
