The carb Convert from TPI
Ok i have had it with MAF,TPS,IAC and all the other sensors! Im going old school ECM Be damned!
Has any one done this?
I am going with duel 4bbl Holly 600 CFM on an ellerbrock intake
I also know i have to change the Dist (any suggestions)
Can i eliminate the ECM after the conversion?
Thoughts?
Oh BTW 1985 Performance Chip,160degree thermo. Other than that bone stock 91k miles

The ECM stays in place. The HVAC system uses it. Just tuck the unused harness out of the way. You will need a vacuum advance distributor, intake, carb, fpr for fi to carb with bypass, and a kit to lock up your torque converter since the computer will no longer be able to do it.

How in the world do ou lock up the torque converter? i am a little lost on this one

either a toggle switch or a controller. I think b&m makes one that is basically a speed switch that you can set for whatever mph you want and it locks the converter at that speed.
