Hi,its been really hard to find the FR5LS Spark plugs and Summit got them on ebay but i ask and their answers to my questions are just automated, they answers what they want to answer, not my actual questions.-
Im in need for a brand new set of spark plugs for my L98 (with alum heads ) and i need a cross reference chart....
whats the FR5LS (Which i was told are the correct plugs) on NGK or other brands ? What's your favorite ?
Please help !!!!
thanks !
ps : my mods : Hypereuctectic flat top pistons,ZZ4 Camshaft...just for the record i dont know if i have to use another kind of spark plug since i upgraded the compression ratio with the new pistons
i couldnt find any info, they look for part # and i guess FR5LS or FR3LS are not part numbers ...ok ok
Which are the correct spark plugs for my L98 w/alum heads ?
Please someone help me fill the blanks,im getting close to start the car for the first time and i dont have the time to buy them overseas (Im in Chile) because it will take at least 2 weeks to get here and i need to start it before April 20th H E L P !!!!!!
just got to the CSKAuto.com, Autozone.com or any of the online parts stors...and pull up your application for your year and engine.. that should list almost all of the plugs to fit your 87/L98..
I purchased 41-629,what's the difference with rapidfire or platinum plugs ?
Will my engine be OK with the 41-629's ? it does not say ALUM Heads over them !!!!

You can tell the difference between a spark plug for an aluminum head and a cast iron head by comparing the two plugs. The cast iron will have a short area of thread. The aluminum plug will have a longer threaded area and they usually have a washer on the bottom of the threaded area. Here are 2 examples.
