Tips wanted on transmission removal

So many places to reach, so little space to get at them... would advise getting a good pair of mechanics gloves to save your hands and fingers.
Some or all of the exhaust manifold bolts will probably snap due to the rust... so be prepared to remove the manifolds from the engine if that happens.
Have a good container to collect fluids that will leak out when you disconnect cooling lines.
Be careful with small clamps.. they may be rusted and snap.. and then you find out that GM either does not sell them anymore or that they are expensive.
Check your universal joints while you have the driveshaft out and replace if there are any doubts.
Enjoy...
