My father has a 91 that sits like an elephent on rollerskates in the rear. Is there a way to drop the rear of this thing maybe 3/4 to an inch without changing the spring?
Yes, costs $20 and you can get it from Ecklers, zip, MAD, wherever. Its just two long bolts. Installs easily. You will need to have the car realigned when you're done. :cheers:

If the bolts that get replaced are simply shorter than the stock ones, couldn't we just cut them? I imagine if the bolts see a lot of stress, putting them through a heat cycle and cutting them most likey wouldn't be the way to go to save 20 lousy dollars.
The bolts are longer and at least grade 8 in hardness. Some guys do the homework, search out a hardware that has em and spend about $5 or so. I prefered to just open the box from MAD, take my two jacks and a tape measure out to my Vette and 1/2 hr later it was 1 1/4" lower at the rear wheels.
First I measured the ride height at the center of the wheel wells on all 4 wheels. Then I replaced the two rear bolts (the chassis actually hands from the rear spring via these two bolts) and set the ride height the same as the front, on each side.
It looks much better, feels like a different car and handles much better; well worth the $20 or so.
NOTE: If you intend to drive the Vette much over 100mph you sould retain some forward rake to maintain some down force to prevent lifting at high speeds.
