Default 1990 Replacement Fuel Injectors

Hello,
After sitting for quite a long time with minimal start up, it appears I have lost several injectors. After running her for a while and getting her warmed up, she could barely hold an idle.

Long story short, 3 of the injectors test w/ very low resistance with the multimeter. I would like to replace all 8, and have been quote $180 each from Chevy. Can anyone recommend good quality, reasonably priced alternatives ?

Thank You!

Rusty

PS this is not ZR1

I would not but rebuilts or Accels. I just put a set of Trcik Flow in my 88. They work great. Here's a link:

Funny you should say that, as you know that Trick Flows and Accel's are made on the same assembly line.

I have a set on Accel's on my car, and they work great. Just do not buy the old yellow tops, they are the ones with problems. Do a search, there are several brands available. Forum member Racetronix sells a set of 24 lb injectors for under $300.00. then do a search on Sam Lamb, he is a forum member has a great write up on replacing the injectors w/o removing the runners. You will need a set of "o" rings for the fuel rail. This would also be a good time to install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Good luck, let us know how you make out.

Randy

That's true, my 88 had 21.5 lb. injectors. It now has 24lb. I'll check to see if Trick Flow has a 22.

We stock new replacements which use updated disc technology but use a factory-style body for proper fit and appearance.

I would get the Racetronix injectors. Some may say it is identical to the Accel but I don't buy that.

Thank you all for the replies. If I may ask a dumb question......
What is the difference of the lb rating I see 21 up to 24lb. Going for the 24lb's mean a fuel pump in my future ?

Thanks!

Your computer isn't tuned for 24. Stick to stock unless you retune, which seems pointless just for injectors.

One more dumb question on injectors... testing with a multimeter is definitive of a bad injector, say reading under 14 ?

Thank you all again, I appreciate the help!

I have a new never installed set of 21 lb high quality injectors for sale. They will be perfect for your car and will not need a re-tune.
