86 precat proplem
I had my pre-cats cut off last week, just looked under the car and i see a piece of tubing just hanging there, can anyone tell me what this might be and what should be done with it.thanks

if it's on the passenger side, chrome, abt 1/2'' dia, it's the air feed to the main cat...should not have been cut by your ''pre-cat skinners''...may be an emissions inspection problem...your ecm won't notice...should be repaired/continuous.

Mine is cut and strapped to the exhaust. The end that is cut was just left open. It doesn't seem to cause any problems. No cat at all. Just straight through pipes to the mufflers. Classic plates so no emissions needed.
