My 88 has been hard to start (crank about 5 seconds when cold) for awhile now. I replaced the IAC and it seemed to help for a while then reverted back to long crank time. I read about changing the MAF relays so I ordered two from Jeff Kopp and now it starts right up! It's a miracle! Also, my wife talked my into taking her and my stepson to the dragstrip a few weeks ago and I got my best time and speed to date. I had turned a 13.9 with my stepson in the car (got scolded by track announcer for having a passenger and running better than 13.99) and then lined up for my last run against a Viper. He turned a low 12 earlier. We were motioned into the staging lanes and he pulled right into the staging lights and got reamed by the starter. I moved in slowly and watched him get chewed out and when the light turned green I left and he sat there for a 1/2 second. I watched him in the rear view mirror slowly gain on me and I was mashing on the gas for all I was worth. He blew by me but I turned a 13.775 at 101.1. I'll try again early next year but I want to get a dyno tune done then disconnect the front sway bar and strip off some superfluous weight. Maybe if the wife is in a good mood I can talk her into some drag radials for my birthday. 12's are in sight!
