1990 C4 starting issue going crazy help?
I have a 1990 c4. It has an intermitten starting issue. Most of the time it starts perfectly and runs great. Occasionally, I turn the key, dash lights light and nothing. I wait at least 5 minutes and it starts perfectly. I have replaced Vats ignition key, no change. I have purchased a prom designed to bypass the Vats system, no change. I believe it is in the vehicle security system due to the wait time. Any info on trouble shooting or by passing security system would be greatly appreciated. I love the car and cannot depend on it.

Here's a shot in the dark.... the previous owner of the 89 I used to have wired a kill switch into the ignition key wiring and did a crappy job of it and that led to it not starting sometimes. So, maybe the wiring in the steering column?

91 corvette starting problems too
I think i have the same problems. It all started when i installed a new alarm system.......first what it would do is don't start then start after a few minutes and gotten worse when it ran and died when you get off the excelerator then finally it dont start...aaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh
