Loose steering- anyone had to replace steering coupler??
So my steering coupler is worn. I it is not too bad, yet there is more play there then I can tolerate any longer. I have looked for just the coupler but can only find the intermediate shaft as a whole. I know that just the coupler can be bought at autozone off the help rack. Opinions or feedback on this greatly appreciated.
Any chance the bolt that connects the rack to the coupler arm is loose?
I would check that as well, just to be sure.Aside from that, never replaced the whole thing. You may need to find a corvette salvage yard for a used one.
