Default Plug Wires

Noticed sets of the original LT4 Wires in the for sale section. Other than being original & having the numbers, clips etc., are the wires themselves superior to after-market in any meaningful way. If not, what are the best wires for the LT4, I'm coming up on 30,000 mi.? Thanks for any suggestions!

Cliff....

you would be pleased with Magnecor 8.5mm wires (think there's a pic on my webpage). They will fit in the stock looms and the red wires will match the LT4/GS lettering quite nice!

Cliff,
I have the wires for sale.

Some people go to great lengths to keep their cars as original as possible, so these rare NOS LT4 wires will only increase in value. If someone only wants a high quality wire but does not care about originality, there are many other choices.

The GM wires are manufactured by Pachard, a respected name in the business.
I have new GM wires on my LT4 now and am happy with their performance, fit, looks. They fit correctly, which is no small concern. Remember, the boots for #6 & #8 plugs are different than the others boots.

If you buy the GM wires from Scoggin Dickey, they will charge $135 with shipping and the lettering is white but does not match the original. You may find other wires cheaper but again, they may look and fit different.

Its really a choice you have to make.

I just bought a set of "Taylor" 8mm silicone wires for my 93. They are custom fit with the correct boots for 6 and 8. They fit great (looms and all) comes in several colors and I only paid 57$ including tax. They work great. Got them at the Pro shop (Grand Prix) in Tulsa. There available everywhere, something to think about. I'm not a dealer, just like getting good thing for a reasonable price. :yesnod:

I replaced my OEM wires at 93,000 miles when I did my top end with a set of LT4 red wires.
I seem to be running OK with them, If 11.5s is OK :D
