Just jump the "A" terminal to the "B" terminal of your ALDL, and count the flashes of the check engine light. Of course you will have to decode them to know what system they were sent by, and then you will have to trouble shoot, properly to determine the cause. If you are trying to do all this without the FSM, you are flying blind.
