Reconditioned Wheels
My 95 was in an accident and the insurance company had the body shop replace the front wheel with a reconditioned wheel. It shook and so I had my regular tire guy check it out. The wheel was not true! Question to all. Is this common for a reconditioned wheel or was the reconditioning company trying to pull a fast one. By the way I took the wheel back and my car is on its spare. I await the next try by the reconditioning company.

What were you doing letting them put on a reconditioned wheel? You're entitled to a brand new one, but if you're trying to save some bucks...well, you get what you pay for.

Most insurance companies are required only to restore your car to its former condition.... Old car gets old parts.

ACtually you are both right on. State Farm could not find body parts for less than new GM parts so I got all new OEM. The wheel was as LWesthaver said. But they will not get away with a shoddy replacement. I will refuse the wheel until they make good. Thanks fo rthe comments
