Default scratches on windshield

Am I correct in saying scratches from wiper blades on the windshield are something you have to live with or else replace the glass?

At one point, I saw a cup shaped stone on a drill bit shank.
You would chuck it up into your drill and "polish" the glass.
There was some kind of media that needed to be applied to the glass beforehand.
Not sure if it was a paste, or what.

If the wiper marks aren't deep then the buffing system may not be necessary. Try one of the following:

1) Barkeepers helper. It's like the kitchen cleaner Comet only a bit more abrasive.

2) I had excellent results in removing wiper marks by clay barring my windshield.

I recommend having someone who has experience polish it. I have seen guys completely ruin glass by trying to polish it. Glass is actually a liquid, not a solid.

Glass is a liquid, just not at normal temps. It has a relatively low melting point compared to something like metal. The only problems i've ever had with my windows is rock chips

..scared to death of the "steel" wool.....probably since it has the
the word "steel" in it and steel and glass don't do well together when they come in abrasive or impact contact with each other.....
