I have the standard sagging flap on my '95 sunvisor. I have a thin slat to slip under the fabric, but I don't see how to get the mirror out. I don't want to break anything. I searched the archives as best I could but didn't find anything helpful. I would appreciate any help out there. Thanks.
I copied this from author unknown, can't remember where I found it, but printed it out:
Get a piece of plastic (old venetian blind, plastic ruler, cover of a floppy binder, even tupperware) and cut to 12"X1.75(approx.). Round off and tape corners so as not to rip visor. GENTLY pull on the side of mirror, opposite of the bend in visor and with other hand slowly slide your piece of plastic under mirror housing. It should go in easy and then use a pencil to push the end in under mirror. I did it, worked like a champ, saved me from buying new visors..I picked up plastic rulers at a stationary store, cut them to size. Wish I could give right person credit for this fix, he did good. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem as Fugitive. I haven't found any replacements that I thought would hold up to occasional moisture. I want to find something better then the cardboard these seem to be built with, then have an upholsterer assemble them. I can't sew... Your suggestion will certainly work until then. Thanks.
I tried all the tricks with mine, but whatever I stuck in there to hold it firm would either wear out in a week and become floppy, or just work its way back into the sunvisor, not touching the floppy part at all.
Last weekend I finally just took them out, and I'm VERY GLAD I did. It's much cleaner now, especially with the top off. And with the low-profile of the windshield, I never used them anyway. Just have a pair of sunglasses in the car...

You took the visors out? I hadn't thought of that but your right about the sunglasses. With the top off most of the sun is over the top of the windshield, the visors don't help with that anyway. I doubt I've used my visors more then a handfull of times.

Yup. It's pretty easy. There are several DIYs here, and I have the FSM as well. Really cleans up the look, and no more floppiness
Cut a plastic "for sale" sign to size. I pulled the fabric gently away from around mirror assembly. Slip the plastic under fabric on the lower side. Pulled the fabric back to it original position and hot glued it under the mirror assembly. Works great.
4. Have not reinstalled my nice new visors yet. I like the clean look of the car with no visors....
Your journey throught this isse will probably go much like mine or you can skip 1 and 2 and go directly to #4. Or you can go with #3 and install it!!!!!
My visors were floppy and the fabric was wearing out so a few years ago I stripped them down, cut & bent some new heavy-duty cardboard, hand-sewed up some new fabric cover and installed the lighted mirrors. I did the project in the winter so the sewing taking an hour or so was no big deal.
